Ground Mount Windsock Pole (16 ft, stainless steel)
16-foot ground mount windsock pole designed for permanent in-ground installation.
Ideal for airports, heliports, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, energy and utility sites, municipal installations, and other commercial applications where rooftop, deck, or wall mounting is impractical.
BDS Windsock Poles are engineered to withstand harsh outdoor and coastal environments for long-term, low-maintenance performance:
- Constructed from Schedule 40 304 stainless steel pipe for superior strength and long-term durability
- Marine-grade powder-coated finish for exceptional corrosion and rust resistance
- Heavy-duty stainless steel hinged base system for easier windsock inspection, servicing, and maintenance
- Standard 1-inch NPT threaded connection compatible with all BDS windsock frames and other equipment utilizing the same industry-standard connection

Poles
Constructed from Schedule 40 304 stainless steel pipe with marine-grade powder-coated finish:
Each telescoping pole section bolts together using stainless steel hardware for superior corrosion and rust resistance.
- 1 ground-base pole section – 2-inch OD × 5.5-foot (64-inch) pole with 6-inch × 6-inch gusseted hinged top plate. Lower section installs approximately 4 feet below ground level.
- 1 hinged pole section – 2-inch OD × 5.5-foot (66-inch) pole with 6-inch × 6-inch gusseted hinged bottom plate.
- 1 pole section – 1.25-inch OD × 5.5-foot (66-inch) pole.
- 1 threaded pole section – 1-inch OD × 5.5-foot (66-inch) pole with 1-inch National Pipe Thread (NPT) for attachment of BDS windsock frames (sold separately).
Hardware
Stainless steel hardware includes:

- 4 x bolts, nuts for hinged base
- 4 x bolts, washers, locknuts for pole connections
