We introduced our newly designed slip-ring assembly into our lighted windsock systems. Our slip-ring assembly now has wider copper fingers with EPDM O-ring spacers instead of the Viton and Bura-N. The printed circuit board (PCB) now has one single WAGO terminal block for holding the three (3) wires connecting the LED light instead of the three single units. This makes the connections more secure. The white “U” channel on the PCB is now used to have the PCB follow the rotating frame and not put any strain on the wires. We are constantly listening to our customers feedback and making improvements to enhance our Lighted Windsock Systems.
BDS Systems Inc. is ready to release a new line of externally lighted windsock frames. BDS’s 754 Series Lighted Windsock Systems will utilize four LED PAR 38 light assemblies to externally light the windsock. Lights will shine down on the windsock. These externally lighted windsock frames will be outfitted with the same type of non-corrosive vinyl tubing and delrin bearings that are currently available on its internally lighted and non-lighted windsock systems. Our standard externally lighted windsock frames will be 18” in diameter. 24” and 36” diameter windsock frames will be available on special order.
